The soundproof Tuatahi room is 65 sqm and can comfortably accommodate a 10 to 15-piece band, Our Tuarua room is 60 sqm room and can comfortably accommodate 2 t0 8-piece band. In addition to our dedicated rehearsal rooms, we also offer stand-alone musical equipment hire as well as live entertainment for corporate and private events throughout Wellington and the Hutt Valley.

When you book our band rehearsal space, you can expect to have access to professional equipment to help you achieve the best possible sound quality. Our sound systems are regularly serviced and well-maintained. The Tuatahi room comes standard with the following equipment:
A stage / Pearl Maple drum kit with drum riser / Marshall tube amplifier / Mark Bass amplifier / PA / Mixer / 3 x SM 58 Microphones / Piano / Heat-pump.
Dedicated music rehearsal space
One of the biggest advantages of booking a music rehearsal room is having a dedicated space to practice. This means you won’t have to worry about disturbing your neighbours or family members and can focus solely on your music without any distractions. The Tuatahi room also provides the comforts of:
Lighting system / Air conditioning / Couches and TV area / Secure storage area where you can keep your band equipment.
Our rehearsal room can also cater for intimate acoustic gigs or song/album launches. We can fit up to 20 audience members, creating a hub for music lovers, a place to network, and a space where epic bands are formed.
Central Wellington location
You will find the Tuatahi room in Martin Square, Te Aro. Our location has easy access to the motorway and off-street parking after 5 pm. We are open from 7 am – 10 pm.
Affordable pricing
Band rehearsal hire spaces offer affordable pricing that makes it a worthwhile investment. When you consider the cost of purchasing your own equipment, the time and effort required to set up a practice space, and the potential for noise complaints, the cost of renting our dedicated practice rooms is a solid investment.
BBD Audio & Lighting offer 2-hour sessions @ $40+gst per hour. The hourly rate is reduced to $30+gst per hour if the booking schedule runs for a 3-month period.
